Who Wore What at the 91st Annual Academy Awards 2019?

This year has only been 3 months old and we have seen some crazy gala events happen for a while back to back, like the Grammy’s, amfAR and now the Oscars. These events are not just any regular events that can be skipped or saved to watch for later, Oh a big NO to that! As soon as these big events hit the screen, we are all set by keeping our eyes plunged and notice everything about our favourite celebrities and what they wore on the red carpet. In this year’s annual academy awards aka Oscars, we saw some jaw-dropping stops on the red carpet of celebrities, like Billy Porter, Chadwick Boseman, Jennifer Lopez, Melissa McCarthy, Emilia Clarke and many more. We sure weren’t even expecting men to stand out with such bold attires that made us go gaga all over them.

Getting back to “the who wore what” at this major gathering, let’s see some of our top most favourite celebrity stops at the red carpet and take a good look of all the teeny-tiny details starting from the outfits to all the way to their Jewellery.

1.  Silver Arm Candy:

The queen of sports, Serena Williams made her stop on the Oscars red carpet wearing a beautiful strapless gown. We totally love this look on her as we get to see her strong biceps with a feminine touch. For her Jewellery, she wore diamond earrings with rings on each pinky finger and some gorgeous silver chain bracelets on one wrist.

2. Double Sterling Silver Necklace:

Do you want to take your necklace game to the next level? Wear it double and twisted like Ashley Graham did on the red carpet. She kept it classy by wearing a jet- black gown by Zac Posen and paired it up with a set of sterling silver Jewellery in which she went for two twisted pair of chains and butterfly earrings.

3. Shiny Bangles for Men:

The black panther hero sure loves wearing some Jewellery. Chadwick Boseman stole our hearts with his all-black suit with a shimmery blazer on top and of course his sterling silver bangle on his wrist that we couldn’t help but notice. This man knows how to keep it classy!

The of the queen of dragons from the game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke wore a beautiful lavender gown from Balmain which made her look perfect with a pair of diamond earrings. Keeping her middle-parted hairstyle straight and sleek, she opted to wear medium-length earrings with zirconia diamonds embedded in them.

5.  Wear a Gold Pendant on Top of Your Heart

Pendants surely have their own way of winning people’s hearts with their elegance and beauty.  The ever-gorgeous, Amandla Stenberg wore a greyish-silver strap gown that had more room on the chest area. To fill it up right, Amandla went for a long pendant chain that sat beautifully on her chest.

6. True Beauty Comes with a Gorgeous emerald ring

Our favourite lady, Octavia Spencer slayed her red carpet look by wearing a beautiful navy-blue gown. It almost reminded us of Cinderella as she wore the exact same gown, just that it was a much lighter shade of blue. She kept her look simple and wore a beautiful green emerald ring that we instantly fell in love with the minute we laid our eyes on it.

7.  Twin Bangles-On-The-Go:

Wearing twin Jewellery never seems to run out of fashion. Letitia Wright wore a beautiful copper gold gown with twin bangles and rings. It seems really cool as not everyone is able to carry this style the way Letitia did wearing them.

8.  Non-identical rings!

Tessa Thompson played it well on the red carpet by wearing a Chanel dress to honour Karl Lagerfeld upon his demise. This gorgeous lady paired up her Jewellery by wearing rings on both of her index fingers, but they are non-identical. They go perfectly with the golden embroidery on her gown that makes it all put together well.

9. Killer Chain on The Neck:

Call Melissa McCarthy’s personal assistant to hire her stylist! This lady right here knows what’s right for the red carpet look and damn we can’t stop admiring her. Melissa wore a cape with her outfit that matches her blouse with a pair of black pants. For the Jewellery, she wore a pair of tiny earrings and a killer silver chain that we mostly see heavy-bike riders wear around their necks.

10. Sassy Man with a Diamond Ring:

This was the most unexpected, audacious and extremely beautiful look of the night that made our jaws drop to the floor. Like seriously, Billy Porter stole the show with his Christian Siriano gown combined with a tuxedo. This is like the ultimate definition of boldness that Billy portrayed with his choice. We would definitely like to give a standing ovation to him for being that confident with what he wore and to make it look even more classy, he wore a big diamond ring on his middle finger. More power to you Porter!
